St. Peter's Ladies & Men's Auxiliary
'Something for every man, women and child'
From 1965, the Men's Club has been a strong presence in the parish of St. Peter's. In the sixties, the main participants were men, but in today's society, women and youth also play a strong role. In 2007 to reflect this change the organization was changed to include women and youth and was named 'St. Peter's Ladies and Men's Auxiliary'.
St. Peter's Ladies and Men's Auxiliary Today:
The St. Peter's Ladies and Men's Auxiliary is a charitable organization that fundraises for St. Peter's Parish and other community based organizations found in our community. Our organizations are made up of parishioners of St. Peter's Parish, Senior Citizen's Members, CWL, Youth and Knights of Columbus. Our group is an excellent example of how a parish community can come together to fundraise for our youth, parish groups and surrounding community.
The function of the St. Peter's Ladies and Men's Auxiliary is
To encourage members to strive for spiritual betterment in the activities of their everyday life.
To find and develop ways and means of providing the organization with interesting activities aimed at the community to improve the quality of life.
To assist the parish staff with projects which will be helpful in the development and betterment of our parish (Living Rosary, Stations of the Cross, other celebrations).
Members of St. Peter's R.C. Church, St. Peter's Senior Club and other persons outside the parish who are interested in promoting the policies and activities of this organization are welcome to be members. There is no registration fee. All that is required is your ideas and a few volunteer hours at our fund raising and/or other events.
One afternoon bingo and one evening bingo at Centennial Bingo Hall each month.
Annual Chili Supper at St. Peter's R.C. Church in the winter season.
